Jaipur, September 24, 2026: If you're aiming for an MBBS or BDS seat through Rajasthan NEET UG counselling, today's an important day. The Rajasthan NEET UG Medical and Dental Admission/Counselling Board has opened both the Round 3 security deposit window and online choice filling from today. Registration for this round began on September 23, when the Board also released the provisional vacant-seat matrices.

Keep two deadlines in mind: the security deposit has to be paid by October 7, 5 PM. Choice filling also runs till October 7, but your choices will auto-lock at 11:45 PM that day. These are two separate cut-off times, so don't mix them up — try to finish your payment and finalise your preferences well before the evening of October 7.

How many seats are available?

Based on the provisional matrix released on September 23, there are 3,023 vacant MBBS seats and 467 BDS seats — 3,490 seats in total. Within MBBS, the breakup looks like this: 155 government seats, 55 RUHS CMS/RAJMES management seats, 317 NRI seats, 2,061 private general seats, and 435 private management seats.

There's also a separate PwBD/PwD seat matrix on the portal. These overall numbers give you a starting point, but it's a good idea to check the latest college-wise and category-wise matrix before you finalise your seat choices.

Remember, the application fee is separate from this security deposit. Wherever an application is needed, the fee has to be paid by October 3, 4 PM, and Parts 1 and 2 of the form must be submitted by October 3, 8 PM. Don't confuse the later security deposit deadline with an extension of your application deadline — they're not the same thing.

Do earlier applicants need to register again?

If you already registered in Round 1 or Round 2, you generally don't need to register afresh. If you'd registered earlier but hadn't completed Part 2, you can go ahead and complete it now.

There's one important exception: if you were allotted a seat in Round 2, didn't join, and had your security deposit forfeited as a result, you'll need to submit a fresh application and pay the security deposit again. Eligible non-domicile candidates covered under Clause XI also need to register.

One more important point — everyone taking part in Round 3 needs to fill fresh choices. Your preferences from Rounds 1 and 2 won't carry forward automatically. So, take your time to compare the available seats, fees and locations before you rank your options.

What are the next important dates?

The provisional merit list is expected on October 4. Verification for Defence, Para Military and NRI candidates will happen on October 5, between 10 AM and 3 PM, followed by the combined merit list on October 6.

The Board has scheduled indicative allotment for October 9 and provisional allotment for October 10. Allotment letters, tuition fee payment and reporting with documents are scheduled between October 11 and 15. As always, keep checking the official portal for any updates to this schedule.
